About

My name is Bobby MacDonald, but most people within the Destiny Community know me as Guardian Photographer. I share photos of iconic and memorable destinations within the Destiny universe on Twitter and Instagram.

I began shooting Photography in 2014 during my time at Community College. During this time I took multiple photography courses that helped build the foundation for my photography skillset. I later transferred to CSU Dominguez Hills, where I graduated with a B.A. in Digital Media Arts.

I began playing the Destiny series with the Destiny First Look Alpha back in June 2014. Until the release of Shadowkeep, I played on PlayStation 4 but switched to PC with the introduction of Cross-Save. It was there that I began shooting Virtual Photography of Destiny 2. My shots were for personal use at first, but after the Covid-19 pandemic hit I wanted to become more creative with my photos and share them with the Destiny Community.

I launched my Instagram in June 2020 and Twitter in May 2021. Both have been incredible journeys that have allowed me to be creative with the universe the team at Bungie has given us.

In Sept. 2021 I was a guest on Episode 111 of Guardian Down Cast, a Destiny Podcast that hosts guests and creators from the Destiny Community. During Dec. 2021, I helped the Bungie Foundation raise over $1,400 during their Game2Give ‘21 Fundraiser.
